Melanson Motors is proud to offer this 1932 Ford Roadster. This car oozes cool! It is built like a proper Ford Hot Rod should be built. It is a Brookville Steel Body Roadster. It is Ford powered by a rebuilt 1948 239 cubic inch flathead with a Stromberg 97 carburetor. The car is a 12 volt system with an alternator. The engine has electronic ignition. The transmission is a Tremec T5, five speed manual. The rear end is a Ford 9 inch. The front end is a forged I-beam split wishbone with disc brakes. This Ford has a vega steering box. The chassis is a boxed frame with Model A front crossmember and tubular center section. The undercarriage is nicely detailed and painted black. The exhaust system is stainless dual exhaust front to back. The cloth convertible top is completely removable and built just for this roadster. The interior features a leather bench seat, Stewart Warner gauges, billet switches, and a new two spoke steering wheel. A turn signal switch is mounted neatly on the steering column and a Harrison under dash heater is in place.
This car drives comfortably for hours! The smooth running flathead paired to the T5 overdrive transmission is a great combination! This roadster has been to lots of major automotive events, including Bonneville speed weeks in 2023. This is a cool looking hot rod you can really use and enjoy!
